Samos Ireon

Ireon (Heraion) takes its name from the ancient temple of Hera, one of the most powerful divinities of ancient Greece. According to the legend she was born and raised in the area.

It is a traditional seaside resort on the South coast of Samos, with all the necessary amenities. There are three supermarkets, rent-a-bike or rent-a-car agents’, souvenir-shops, bars and restaurants. The greenery rolls down to the sea, giving way to the clear unpolluted Aegean blue. Visitors have a choice between secluded beaches for a romantic undisturbed tête-à-tête, or more cosmopolitan ones with sun beds, umbrellas and sea-sport facilities, like skiing or jet skiing.
